Changes to the Vail Ski & Snowboard School Management Team

Vail Ski & Snowboard Pros,

We have a number of supervisory and management staffing changes to announce:

We are thrilled to welcome Erin Dowd back to the Vail Ski & Snowboard School as the Location Manager for the Lionshead Adult Program. Erin began her ski teaching career in Lionshead in 1997 and has been the General Manager of adult programs at Keystone since 2012. The Keystone adult program has seen tremendous success under her leadership, from employee engagement, stellar guest satisfaction results and overall business growth. We look forward to Erin’s leadership and continued re-imagination of our adult program in Lionshead.

Steve Clark accepted a Location Manager position at the Park City Adult Ski and Ride School. Filling the vacancy (pun intended) and following in Steve’s footprints, Phil Reynolds is moving from LHC 7-Teen Snowboard and taking over as the new Private Lesson Supervisor in Vail Village. Phil began his Vail career as a snowboard instructor in Lionshead, is AASI Snowboard Level 3 certified CS2 and FS1.

Whitney Brofos will take the LHC Snowboard Supervisor reins from Phil. Born and raised in the Vail Valley, Whitney started her teaching career in 2006 at the age of 16, working on the Mogul Mouse hill for the Golden Peak 3-6 program. In 2010, she transitioned to teaching snowboarding in GPC, and most recently, moved to Vail Village last season. Holding AASI Snowboard Level 2 and PSIA Alpine Level 1 certifications, Whitney brings her experience in cross-over disciplines and teaching multiple age groups to LHC.

Also joining Lionshead Kids in the newly added Children’s Lesson Supervisor role is Austin Stauffer. Austin was born and raised in Holland, Michigan, arrived in Vail in 2011, and has achieved PSIA Alpine Level 2, CS2, and FS1. LHC is excited to have Austin’s leadership and knowledge of the program joining the supervisor team.

In Golden Peak, Stu Berryman joins the team as the new Snowboard Supervisor. Stu has more than eight years of full-time teaching experience and has achieved AASI Snowboard Level 2 certification and CS2. Stu is looking forward to the challenge in joining the GPC team, expanding his skill set and providing support to the existing and new hire team.
