Lionshead Children’s Training Supervisor – Austin Stauffer
Austin Stauffer has accepted the role of LHC Training Supervisor. This will be a great development opportunity for Austin to immerse himself in another facet of our operation and take on some new challenges working in the training realm and with the training team. LHC has posted a Private Lesson Supervisor position to replace Austin.
Golden Peak Adult’s Private Lesson Product Manager – Lauren Milligan
Following Bryan’s move to the Village, Lauren Milligan is moving from LHC Training to Golden Peak Adult’s Privates Manager. Lauren managed LHC training for the last three seasons and played a key role in the training team’s efforts to re-imagine and drive training participation. She is excited about this opportunity to develop and learn a new role with the GPA team.
Vail Village Private Lesson Product Manager – Bryan Corbellini
Backfilling Jeff’s promotion to Location Manager, Bryan Corbellini is joining the Vail Village team as the Privates Manager. Bryan began his teaching career at Greek Peak in New York. He came to Vail and began teaching in 1999, and has been the Private Lesson Product Manager for GPA for the last 3 seasons.
Golden Peak Children’s Snowboard Supervisor – Ryan Mendon
Stu Berryman the Golden Peak Children’s Snowboard Supervisor will not be returning this season due to an injury that requires a five to six month recovery period. Replacing Stu is Ryan Mendon from the Lionshead Children’s program. Ryan graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Business Administration. He instructed snowboard and skiing at Vail, Beaver Creek and Northstar. Ryan has AASI Level 2 snowboard certification, PSIA Level 1, adaptive snowboard, FS1, CS2 and AAIRE Level 1. Ryan has developed and facilitated certification exams for Snobahn, an indoor ski and snowboard facility in Centennial Colorado at the Glen Dale Mall.
Golden Peak Adults Group Lesson Supervisor – Charlotte Brady
Charlotte Brady is the new GPA Group Lesson Supervisor. Charlotte has 7 years of teaching experience in the children’s program at Beaver Creek with time spent in red sup assisting over the past few years. She has her level 2 alpine, CS1, FS1, she has been a member of the Beaver Creek demo team, and has a degree from University of Denver.
Golden Peak Children’s Private Lesson Product Manager – Tim Beal
Tim Beal has been promoted from Private Lesson Supervisor to Private Lesson Manager for the Golden Peak Children’s programs. Tim has been instrumental in leading the private lesson business for Golden Peak and the Vail Ski and Snowboard School. Please congratulate Tim when you see him!
Adaptive Assistant 3 – Deb Cohen
Deb Cohen has been promoted into the new role of Adaptive Assistant 3. Deb supervises adaptive instructors, coordinates Adaptive special programs, and communicates directly with adaptive clients to book lessons.
Assistant Manager of Training, Alpine Certification – David Oliver
David Oliver is the new Assistant Manager for Alpine Certification. Dave joins us from 17 years as an instructor, trainer, lift mechanic, and Assistant Manager of Training at Breckenridge. He is an Alpine Examiner 3, Freestyle Examiner, on the education committees for both Alpine and Freestyle disciplines, and is a two term PSIA-AASI National Team alum.
Assistant Manager of Training, Snowboard – Chuck Hewitt
Chuck Hewitt as the new Assistant Manager of Training for Snowboard. Chuck has been a full-time snowboard instructor at Beaver Creek since 2002. He is an Snowboard Examiner 3, Snowboard Committee member, and Children’s Examiner with the Rocky Mountain division of AASI, has represented Rocky Mountain at the national Examiner Fall Conference, and helped lead the revisions to the latest edition of the Vail & Beaver Creek Snowboard Teaching Handbook published by PSIA-AASI.
Vail Village Training Manager – Jay Evans
Jay Evans has stepped in as the new Vail Village Training Manager. Jay started teaching at Bridger Bowl, MT in 1975, received his full cert in 1977, and joined the Vail Ski & Snowboard School in 1981 as a PSIA-NRM apprentice examiner. He became an examiner in RM in 1983 (the same year Darby was born!) and served 3 terms on the PSIA National Team from 1988 to 2000.
Vail Village Location Manager – Jeff Bennett
Jeff Bennett has accepted the promotion to take over leadership of the Village. Jeff is thrilled and honored to continue the work begun by Dave. He should be in the office within the next couple of weeks and hopes to hit the ground running.
Lionshead Children’s Inside Operations Product Manager – Chanel Roberts
Chanel Roberts is the new LHC Inside Operations Product Manager. She has been an inside staff sup the past two seasons in LHC and started as an Inside Staff Attendant before that. In her new role, Chanel will oversee Inside Staff, Rentals, and Greeter Staff in the LHC lobby.
Golden Peak Children’s Inside Operations Product Manager – Ashley Abramson
Ashley Abramson, the Small World Nursery Product Manager has been promoted to the Golden Peak Children’s Inside Operations Product Manager. Ashley started as the lead nursery teacher, was promoted to nursery supervisor and in March of 2015 promoted to nursery Product Manager. Ashley brings a great deal of enthusiasm and passion to her work environment.
Administrative Coordinator – Shannon Fergus
Rejoining our team this year, Shannon Fergus filled Hayley Hoffman’s position as Resort Admin Coordinator. Shannon started with Vail in 2013 as LHC Inside Staff, and was LHC’s Admin for the 15-16 season before moving to Beaver Creek as the Adults’ Admin last winter.
Ski & Snowboard School Director – Fred Rumford
If you’ve been down south teaching, skiing, and snowboarding, or out biking, camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and otherwise enjoying an awesome summer here in Colorado, you might have missed the news: 47 years after learning to ski with Jebbie and 30 years after starting his career as a Lionshead Kids Instructor, Fred Rumford was named Ski & Snowboard School Director!
