Become a Vail Ski Pro – Tryout for the 2026-27 Winter Season!
Vail Ski & Snowboard School is offering an exciting opportunity for passionate Alpine skiers to join our team as professional instructors.

This opportunity is open to anyone interested in teaching Alpine or Snowboard with Vail Mtn SRS (Ski and Ride School) for the 26/27 season. The try-out consists of optional free on-snow training clinics and a 3-day PSIA Level 1 exam on-snow at Vail. Upon successful completion of the PSIA Level 1 exam on April 8, you will be automatically hired for a FT or PT position with Vail Mtn SRS for next season. Your starting base wage will be $21/hour as a first-year Level 1 Certified Instructor. Full-time (FT) Instructors will be given a spot in employee housing. Part-time (PT) Instructors are not eligible for employee housing.
Dates for the free on-snow clinics and Level 1 Exams are as follows:
Free on-snow training clinics at Vail: March 30; April 2 - 3
PSIA Level 1 Alpine Exam: April 6 - 8 (all 3 days on-snow at Vail)
PSIA Level 1 Snowboard Exam: April 6 - 8 (all 3 days on-snow at Vail)
Participants must be in Vail and prepared to be on snow for all 3 days of the Level 1 Exam. Housing is not available for participants.
